Adding Web Pages

If you are contributing material to the project website, it would be an enormous help if you would observe the following guidelines.

Observe The House Style The project web server uses a server-side include mechanism (SSI) to get the navigation bars. Your web pages should therefore look like:

  <head>
    <title> .. Some Title ... </title>
  </head>
  <!--#include virtual="/mkm/nav_top.html" -->

   ... groovy yet compliant HTML markup ...

  <!--#include virtual="/mkm/nav_bottom.html" -->
</html>

Note that the opening and closing tags for the body element are provided by the two included files.

You can download the current versions of nav_top.html and nav_bottom.html if you wish although quite what your browser will make of them is an interesting question!

Ensure That You Are Standard Conformant! Many HTML authoring tools do not produce standard HTML and just because something looks OK in Netscape or Internet Explorer is no guarantee that it is correct. We strongly recommend the use of the tidy tool written by Dave Raggett.
Spell Check Your Pages (preferably using British rather than US English).
